Hi, I got my gall bladder taken out, may I still take l-Arginine?
Temoc,
The gallbladder’s main function is to store the bile which the liver produces. the bile helps the body break down and digest fats that you eat. You should be able to take an L-Arginine product without any issues but please check with your physician to make sure.
I just read an article on Arginine Ornithine Powder. Is it this the same supplement as L-Arginine? At the suggestion of the author, I ordered a powder from Life Extension. I take it three times a day mixed with at least 8 oz. of water, preferably on an empty stomach. (To be honest, this is my first day) It has an awful taste. Is it safe to mix these supplements with juice? Are there other options out there that taste better?
Thank you-
Ricc,
Essentially, Arginine Ornithine Powder is the same as the L-Arginine powders we have reviewed on this site. I appears that Arginine Ornithine Powder only has 2 ingredients: L-Arginine and L-Ornithine which helps absorb the L-Arginine into the body. Most of the L-Arginine powders we have reviewed not only have arginine but they also have many other beneficial ingredients such as L-citrulline, Red Wine Extract, D-Ribose, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin K, Folate (Folic Acid), Grape Skin Extract or Resveratrol, Magnesium and Trace Minerals.
If you compare Arginine Ornithine Powder with our current top rated product, Arginine Infusion, Arginine Ornithine Powder is $3.23 per ounce and Arginine Infusion is $2.71 per ounce and has a ‘Mixed Berry’ flavor that is actually not to bad.
If you give Arginine Infusion a try, let us know what you think.
