After hearing about the X-Cell Circulation Enhancer by Lifeplus we stumbled around the internet for a bit before we found out where to get their L-Arginine product. But we’ve found it. As far as we could tell, X-Cell Circulation Enhancer is only sold in one size which is a 9.66 ounce jar and here are our thoughts about this L-Arginine product:
Value – 1.0
At first we were a little surprised by the $52 price tag on the 9.66 ounce jar and then it was delivered in the mail and we realized that the $52 is for 30 servings but according to the Supplement Facts Label, each serving only had 2660 mg of L-Arginine which is about half the L-Arginine content as most of the other L-Arginine products we have reviewed. So keep in mind that you would have to buy about 2 jars of X-Cell Circulation Enhancer to get the same amount of L-Arginine as you would if you bought Arginine Infusion or Niteworks. Having said that we will give them a value grade based on the actual size and cost of their least expensive jar excluding any sales or promotional pricing. At $52 per 9.66 ounces, that puts your cost per ounce at 5.38 per ounce which puts it as one of the most expensive we have reviewed so far.
Taste/Flavor – 2.7
It taste a little like a cleaning fluid smells is the best way to describe this L-Arginine product. We tried it and most people weren’t happy with the taste. We got through it alright, but the thought of drinking it day in and day out for weeks on end was a really unappealing thought. You’re definitely going to have to really like citrus to use X-Cell for a long period of time. Once again, Taste is subjective so we would love to hear from all you citrus lovers. So after deducting a few grade points for lack of flavor variety we came up with a grade point of 2.7 on Taste/Flavor.
Nutrition – 2.0
X-Cell Circulation Enhancer lacks a little when it comes to nutrition as compared to the other L-Arginine products we have reviewed. Comparing X-Cell to the other L-Arginine products we have reviewed, it only contained L-arginine, L-citrulline and Vitamin C. X-Cell does contain other nutrients such as L-Lysine which helps convert fatty acids to energy, aiding in weight reduction and Annatto Seed Extract which is thought to prevent cancer due to their anti-angiogenic effect. After considering all the nutritional value X-Cell contained and deducting a few grade points for haveing only about half the concentration of L-Arginine as the other L-Arginine products, we settled on a grade point of 2.0.
Extra Credit Points or Additional Grade Point Deductions
In our opinion, X-Cell has earned 0.1 grade point deduction for offering their ‘ASAP Program’ which is a program where Lifeplus will automatically ship your order of X-Cell each month and automatically charge your credit card at a discounted rate ($5 savings on a 9.66 ounce jar). So if you like X-Cell and plan to use it long term, this is a great, hassle-free benifit.
